How to use Mode 03 of Auto create folders and Files add-ons

This is a guideline of using Mode 03 of the Auto Create folder and files Google Sheets add-ons. The add-ons provide a way to Automate Folder Creation, File Generation, and Text Replacement in Google Drive from Google Sheets. What Mode 03 can do with a single click:

1. Automatically creates a new parent folder in Google Drive.
2. Automatically creates only one new child folder located within the parent folder.
3. Automatically creates up to 10 new files within the newly created parent folder.
4. The new files are generated based on a commonly used template file. Store All information about the new parent folder, new child folder, and files in a single tab. This information includes name, creation date, links and creators.

User-defined options:

• Template file.
• Name of children folder and parent folder.
• Location of new Parent Folder.
• The number of new files to create. One or More. But it must be less than 10.

Define these options by inputting them into Google Sheets. Define the parent folder structure once, then repeat to create it with a single click.

Limitations

• You are allowed to add only one new children folder inside the parent folder

• The maximum number of new children files are 10.

• Auto creates a new file that is located in the new parent folder.

• The new file is created based on the template file which is defined by the user’s preference.

• The location of the new parent folder is defined by the user’s preference.

• All information about the new parent folder, new children folders and new files are - stored in a single Tab. These information include folder name, file name, created date, link to folder, link to file, file or folder creator.

How to navigate to Mode 03

From your Google Sheets, navigate to Mode 03 as guide below:

Extension => Auto Create folder and Files => Free => Mode03

It is recommended that you should download the add-ons and watch the video tutorial for more detail. The above instructions are just an example that help you have a first look of how Mode 03 works.
